Get ready, the European Week of Sport 2024 is returning this September! This is the right moment to register your events and become part of this inspiring initiative. Don't miss the chance to join thousands of participants in promoting the importance of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle across Europe and beyond.

This year the European Week of Sport Denmark and Danmarks Motionsuge are joining forces once again! With the EWOS DK taking place from 23 to 30 September and the Denmark’s Exercise Week in the second week of October, Denmark will be alive with a variety of events celebrating the joy of movement. Moreover, events happening from 1 September are also eligible to join, so the #BeActive campaign festivities last even longer!

If you're planning to organise a sport event in Denmark between 1 September and 15 October 2024 that can inspire people to #BeActive, be sure to register your activity HERE. Let’s open new doors to better wellbeing and healthy lifestyle for citizens together! There are no restrictions — everyone is welcome to participate.

By registering your events, you help to increase awareness of the numerous benefits of physical activity and create opportunities for individuals to engage in sports and lead active lifestyles. Additionally, you will join an international campaign! Your event will contribute to the global #BeActive movement, launched by the European Commission to promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.

The #BeActive campaign underpins the European Week of Sport, held annually during the last week of September in over 40 countries across the EU and beyond. The 2024 edition celebrates the 10th anniversary of this remarkable initiative, proudly continuing a decade-long legacy.

In 2023, more than 7,000 activities were held during the European Week of Sport Denmark and Danmarks Motionsuge. Both initiatives welcome diverse interests and talents, providing activities for all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels. Last year, participants could try out some outstanding activities such as skating through the evening city, playing UV tennis, enjoying historical wooden games during the Copenhagen Culture Night, trying out curling, folk dancing, or shaking up their bodies with CrossFit.
